Porpoise
Single channel subsea acoustic recorder.
The Porpoise is an extremely broadband high specification subsea acoustic recorder particularly suited to real time marine mammal and noise pollution monitoring.

The Porpoise is very easy to configure and deploy, meeting the requirements for a variety of underwater acoustic measurement projects. Current applications for Porpoise include ambient noise monitoring and characterisation, construction monitoring and marine mammal research. The Porpoise can be deployed for 48 hours using internal power, or over several years in its large battery pack configuration.
Real time configuration, analysis and visualisation software (TRAC) is supplied with every Porpoise. TRAC allows users to easily setup their instrument parameters including enabled channels, sampling rates, channel gain and recording schedules. With highly configurable sampling rates, intelligent on/off scheduling and configurable hydrophone settings, Porpoise is the smartest subsea acoustic recorder available.
