GeoSpectrum Technologies Inc. Hydrophones
GeoSpectrum Technologies Inc.'s range of wide band, omnidirectional hydrophones
From detecting marine mammals to monitoring blow-out preventers and subsea construction, GeoSpectrum’s vast range of hydrophones can be tailored to any need.
KEY FEATURES
• Tried and tested in RS Aqua’s Acoustic Monitoring products
• Up to 6000m depth rated
• Up to 250,000Hz Frequency
GeoSpectrum designs and manufactures a variety of wide-band omnidirectional hydrophones which include an integral low-power, low-noise, voltage- or current-signalling preamplifier. These hydrophones can be configured to operate over customer-defined bandwidths, required sensitivity, and allow for customisable gain. The depth rating for each hydrophone can be tailored to meet export requirements and range from shallow to deep-water applications.
M351 FIELD CALIBRATOR
The M351 is a battery-operated precision hydrophone field calibrator. The calibrator can display the hydrophone (HP) sensitivity and/or the sound pressure level (SPL) in the calibration chamber. The M351 is intended to calibrate GTI hydrophones, or can be supplied with a custom interface to support hydrophones from other suppliers.
GTI provides a Windows application, Hydrophone (HP) Connection Software, which enables users to update firmware on the field calibrator as well as to view the data stored on the internal EEPROM. Communication with the field calibrator is achieved serially via a USB-B port on the calibrator.
The M351 allows users to easily test their hydrophones before deploying for use. Ocean trials and testing can be costly; having equipment deployed that is dysfunctional and or not accurate can cause inaccurate data collection. This malfunction can cost customers in time and funds. The M351 allows users to test their hydrophones reducing the risk of hydrophone dysfunction and validate hydrophone sensitivity before deploying their monitoring systems.
