Here’s where you can find each company at the event, and what they’re showcasing
It’s that time again! We’re ecstatic to bring our latest advancements in ocean technology to Ocean Business 2025. We’ll be on hand throughout the event, which takes place on Tuesday 8th April until Thursday 10th April at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton.
General Oceans, Assemble!
For the very first time, all six companies within the General Oceans group – RS Aqua, Nortek, Tritech, Klein Marine Systems, Reach Robotics, and Strategic Robotic Systems, will have a major presence together at an event like this. Visitors will be able to explore sector-spanning, world-class technology and see firsthand how the group is breaking new ground in underwater exploration.
What to expect from RS Aqua at Ocean Business 2025
You can find RS Aqua at booth G1 throughout all three days, where our friendly team will be showcasing our latest and greatest technologies, including the Porpoise acoustic recorder, the WaveRadar REX2, the SEABER MARVEL AUV, and much more.
On Day One we’ll also be taking to the Discovery Room at 14:30 to talk about MARLIN, an innovative project that’s utilising a real-time machine learning system to monitor, detect and classify underwater noise, be it marine mammals or vessel traffic.
Fast forward to Wednesday at 12:40, and those seeking inspiration and motivation for a career in Ocean Science can look forward to our Fisheries and Acoustics Scientist, Phoebe Chadwick speaking as part of the Ocean Careers programme.
Our stand-sharing friends at Del Mar Oceanographic will be capping off the week on Thursday at 13:00 with a demo of the Wirewalker, a vertically profiling instrument-platform for oceanographic research and monitoring.
Strategic Robotic Systems, Inc. (Stand HS01)
With many years of vehicle design experience under their belt and thousands of hours of field work, the SRS development group set out to develop the next generation underwater vehicle systems. Their Fusion vehicle is now employed by the US Marine Corps for Explosive Ordinance Disposal and other amphibious missions as well as by Coast Guard units and global defense forces.
An intuitive system, Fusion increases the abilities of any operator. Further control development and new mechanical arm integration as well as software expansion to enhance autonomy features are allowing SRS to expand the use of these systems to new market areas.
