Salmon & Trout Conservation, the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust, and the Atlantic Salmon Trust, on behalf on the SAMARCH (SAlmonid MAnagement Round the Channel) project, are hosting a two-day Salmonid Tracking Workshop in Southampton.
The workshop will focus on sharing knowledge of current tracking projects, new and emerging technologies, and maximising the benefits and opportunities of multiple tracking projects. SAMARCH is part funded by the EU’s Interreg VA Channel Programme.
Our Director of Fisheries and Research, Dr Ryan Mowat is giving a presentation on Developments in Acoustic Telemetry alongside Dr Richard Vallee from Innovasea (Vemco). The presentation touches on the design and manufacturing of RS Aqua’s ARC (Acoustic Release Canister) that works in conjunction with Innovasea’s VR2AR acoustic release fish tracking receiver, and the partnerships RS Aqua have developed with researchers using Innovasea fish tracking equipment.
