RS Aqua is pleased to announce that it is now the official UK and Ireland distributor of the innovative SRS Fusion hybrid ROV/AUV.
Like RS Aqua, SRS (Strategic Robotic Systems) is an operating company within the General Ocean’s group. The opportunity to distribute their ROV’s within the UK will provide customers with the greatest innovations in ROV technology.
With a wide range of applications including search and rescue the SRS Fusion has proven its capabilities in the US and beyond time and time again. Now, the UK and Ireland can benefit from the technology this ROV has to offer.
About SRS Fusion
Based in San Diego, SRS was founded with the premise of developing the next generation in underwater systems by approaching the challenge from a fresh perspective.
With many years of vehicle design experience under their belt and thousands of hours of field work, the SRS development group set out to develop the next generation underwater vehicle systems. Their Fusion vehicle is now employed by the US Marine Corps for Explosive Ordinance Disposal and other amphibious missions as well as by Coast Guard units and global defence forces.
An intuitive system that can either be used without a tether in AUV mode, or with a tether for precise, real-time control in ROV mode, the Fusion increases the abilities of any operator.
Further control development and new mechanical arm integration as well as software expansion to enhance autonomy features are allowing SRS to expand the use of these systems to new market areas.
Martin Stemp, Managing Director of RS Aqua, said:
“We are delighted to finally announce the distribution of the SRS Fusion in the UK. RS Aqua can now offer our clients access to the latest in ROV/AUV technology, which we have carefully selected to be part of our growing product portfolio.”
