OVERVIEW
The WaveRadar Rex² combines the high-performance and precision of the legacy Rex sensor in a smaller, lighter body. The GR-2 frame provides a strong and effortlessly-accessible platform for the WaveRadar sensor, whilst WaveView Connect displays data from the sensor in an easily-readable, detailed and configurable GUI.
WaveRadar REX²
WaveRadar REX2 was designed, developed and extensively trialed by RS Aqua since 2017, to ensure it meets and exceeds the high-performance standards set by its predecessor WaveRadar REX, which had close to 1,000 offshore installations.
It is significantly smaller, lighter, consumes ten times less power than its predecessor, and is fully backwards compatible with existing WaveRadar REX
installations.
WaveView Connect
WaveView Connect software is an optional processing and display programme, for static or moving vessel installations. WaveView Connect provides robust real-time processing of raw wave data from one or more sensors, producing a full set of wave and tidal sea state parameters.
Processed data can be displayed locally, on the web, or output to third party applications, as well as RS Aqua’s robust remote back-up power, data processing and telemetry system, CODE. The optional motion compensation extension enables high quality wave data from a moving vessel.
GR-2 Frame
The GR-2 is specifically designed for the WaveRadar Rex². It is designed to provide a stable, rigid platform that complements the high performance of the Rex², even in the harshest conditions.
A horizontal, modular deployment hinge allows quick, easy and safe installation and maintenance.
WaveConfigurator Software
WaveConfigurator is a brand new, simple to use GUI for users to connect to and configure their WaveRadar REX2 within a matter of seconds.
This custom build utility is freely available and complements our WaveView Connect software suite which provides wave data processing for static or moving installations, and a suite of remote connectivity options.
