This week RS Aqua are attending the international Underwater Acoustics Conference and Exhibition held on the Greek island of Skiathos, overlooking Koukounaries beach.
With almost 250 lectures scheduled over four days the conference provides a forum for exchange of the most recent research results, discussion of future challenges and the display the latest advances in instrumentation.
The newest version of RS Aqua’s underwater noise recorder and signal processor will be on show at the conference. From the RS-ORCA family of instruments the RS-ORCA-ACE is a low-cost, compact and rechargeable shallow water instrument, with 1 to 5 hydrophone input channels.
RS-ORCA-ACE
As per all RS-ORCA instruments the RS-ORCA-ACE features individually configurable yet synchronously sampled hydrophone channels, extremely broadband sampling capabilities, raw data recording and the ability to stream processed statistical data and raw audio in real time via high speed Ethernet. This capability is unique within the industry and enables versatile deployment scenarios from moored applications to autonomous platform deployments and drifting buoy systems.
RS-ORCA instruments have been supplied to university researchers throughout North America and Europe and to offshore survey companies in the UK. Distributors and technical support agents for RS-ORCA have now been appointed in Europe and Asia Pacific.
