RBR duet³ – Compact Loggers

The RBRduet³ series are RBR’s most compact, lightweight, and versatile dual channel loggers.

Contact us

The RBRduet³ series are compact, dual-channelled loggers that are very low power (can use any AA batteries) and have a huge memory capacity for extended deployment.

These loggers offer flexible measurement schedules, with standard sampling up to 2 Hz and optionally up to 32 Hz. They also feature USB-C for download of large data files and are compatible with the freely available Ruskin software.

Available Parameters

• Temperature and Depth
• Temperature and Oxygen

Key Features

• Operational with any AA battery
• Up to 30 M readings
• Up to 32 Hz sampling rate
• USB-C download
• Shallow and deep housings available
• Cables RBRcoda³ variants available

RBRduet³ T.D & RBRduet³ T.D|deep

The RBRduet³ T.D measures temperature and depth and is one of the most popular loggers from the compact, dual channel, RBRduet logger family.

Its small compact size is so versatile that it lends itself to various applications from mooring, bore holes, profiling, or towed arrays. The RBRduet³ T.D is the next generation of RBR’s proven self-contained small submersible temperature recorder; the TDR-2050.

This two-channel submersible temperature and depth logger is ideal for long term deployments, harsh environments or anywhere where size is a concern.

While smaller in size to the TDR-2050 or the RBRduo³ T.D, the RBRduet³ uses a completely new architecture resulting in less power consumption, more memory capacity, and faster download speeds.

The RBRduet³ T.D is calibrated to an accuracy of ±0.002ºC (ITS-90 and NIST traceable standards) and and accuracy of 0.05% full scale for pressure (between -5ºC and 35ºC). The standard thermistor has a time constant of approximately 1.0 seconds. The RBRduet³ T.D has a measurement range of -5ºC to +35ºC in its standard calibration. However, it can be calibrated from -40ºC to +50ºC.

There are several pressure (depth) rating options from 20 dbar to 10,000dbar.

RBRduet³ T.ODO

The RBRduet³ T.ODO is a compact and rugged self-contained logger with many applications.

The optical oxygen sensor provides high stability for very long deployments where accurate dissolved oxygen concentration and oxygen saturation measurements are critical.

The marine thermistor provides the highest accuracy temperature measurement with 1s time constant. The |fast version has a 1s time constant for dissolved oxygen. The |slow version has a protective layer over the optical foil to remove fouling for long-term moored applications.

The compact size and self-logging ability is versatile and enables DO measurements in a variety of applications including oceanographic moorings, fishery studies, benthic pods, and non-integrated attachments on AUVs, glides, and profiling floats.
