RS Aqua’s Ryan Mowat teamed up with Innovasea’s VP Richard Vallee to write about the innovations within both companies that are helping to revolutionise the wild fish tracking industry. The paper is based on a presentation by Ryan and Richard at a science conference organised to discuss the salmonid tracking SAMARCH project in Southampton, UK, on the 5th and 6th November 2019.

SAMARCH is a €7.8m five-year project (2017-2022), part funded by the France England Interreg Channel VA Programme. The project will provide new transferable scientific evidence to inform the management of salmon and sea trout (salmonids) in the estuaries and coastal waters of both the French and English sides of the Channel. RS Aqua supplied the acoustic telemetry equipment used on the project.
